Welcome to my new website!

Hey Ya'll,

Welcome to my new site. I'm sure thankful to my web-hosting company, they did a great job. This stuff is all very new to me. I kind of feel like I've been beamed in from the mid 1800's. My kid's are pretty sharp with this stuff so maybe they can show me ropes.

I am looking forward to re-connecting with you and am excited to hear how you like the new music. It is really wild to have been recording as long as I have and still have a chance to make a first impression. I will also try to keep you informed as to the goings on in our world although I will say I have a lot of empty journals lying around that my wife has given me for birthday and Christmas gifts. Not the best at journaling, or is it blogging these days. But who knows, Jesus raised the dead so I guess He can give me the desire to blog too. LOL.

I would ask for your patience as I get familiar with how to add content to my site. We'll grow it as we grow.

I pray God's richest blessings on you and look forward to walking with all of you through this next chapter of our (The Penrod's) life.

Blessings, MK10:45

  2. Guy,

I can honestly say that no other project by any other artist has blessed me the way your new project has. Thanks for your wonderful testimony in addition to your music. Keep up the great work and I look forward to you coming to Chattanooga in the future. Blessings.

  3. After a long summer away from my home and my extensive collection of Gaither DVDs, I chose one of my favorites to watch today - "The Best of Guy Penrod". As I was watching, I got on the Internet and typed in www.guypenrod.com. I was thrilled when I saw the homepage come up. For years, I have been checking hoping that you would eventually create a website. This one is great! I'm so excited to have a place to keep up with your career since you left GVB. I've been listening to country music all of my life along with southern gospel, so this is good news to me. I've always loved your voice and the faith that you have within that comes through your voice. Good luck to you as you write this next chapter of your life. I LOVE THE NEW MUSIC

  5. Guy,

New CD sounds great. Always kind of thought that in the past you were being kind of held back somewhat. May this new chapter in your life bring you closer to our lord and may he bless you in ways only he can.

  7. I have followed you ever since you joined GVB. Your voice and sweet spirit have blessed me more than you know. I received the new CD today and it was just as wonderful and absolutely no less than I would have expected from you. Thanks for a great CD !!! P.S. I met your Uncle and Aunt from Metropolis a couple of months ago. I can see that you were cut from the same cloth. God bless you and your wonderful family in all you do.

  8. Wow.. just got "BReathe Deep" yesterday , and already have listened to a lot of the tracks 3 or 4 times.. it's a truly solid project with rich instrumental tapestries on each song.. some would "preach" on Sunday nicely and I can imagine others on a jukebox somewhere, a great blend that I think should reach broad audience. I love how the project is grounded on solid rock--love for God, for family, and for others!!!! thank you for being willing to step out in faith, thanks for such a beautiful CD!!!

  9. The voice on this cd sounds NOTHING like Guy Penrod. It sounds like any mediocre country singer. What happened??? This is a true shame...Guy's voice was so distinctive. Tragic.

  10. Yay, another place to post about how much I love your new record. I just listened to the whole thing again and it's just great. Your beautiful voice, the harmonies, the music, the message. It truly does shine way above the mediocre projects of today. Thank you for sharing with us, Guy.
    Blessings always.

  12. Guy and Angie,
We just want you to know we are praying for you as you begin a new venture. The new album is wonderful. We love it. Our favorite is Knowing What I Know About Heaven.

After a life of making one mistake after another, my husband and found each other, and found the Lord. Talk about the Old Rugged Cross making a difference! Collectively, we have six kids, so we know a little bit about what it must be like to juggle eight. We know you know what we mean when we say, "Family first." Always. You both know what is best for your family, and we just want you to know that the Wright Family in Iowa has you on their prayer list nightly! Go for it! We'd bring you here if we could!

    ReplyDelete
  13. And Guy - you don't sound like a mediocre country singer. Phooey. In my Beth Moore Esther study I'm in, she talked last week about the time that we are most vulnerable is when God has sent us on a journey but we aren't there yet. That is when Satan will attack the strongest.

Jeremiah 29:11 and Proverbs 3:5-6!! Go Penrod, family! God has got your backs - and so do your prayer warriors in Iowa!!

  14. Hey Guy,

We're from Canada. We order your CD from your website. Very nice Website.
We're really delighted with your new solo CD. Very nice songs. I really like the songs: Even when we do, The Maker of them all and knowing what I know about heaven. It's just great.
May the Lord bless you in your new pathway.

Also you have a wonderful family. May the Lord preserved all your kids for his glory.

  15. Dear Guy,
I just found your website tonight and have ordered your Breathe Deep CD. Thank you for the free download of the title song. I have missed your voice since you left the GVB, but have filled my void with the Best of Guy Penrod DVD and CD and all the other GVB albums I have. I wish you all the success possible on this new journey. You will be great, because I know this decision was made after spending a lot of time in prayer and with Angie. This was not a thing you did lightly. I look forward to receiving the CD.
I noticed you are doing concerts. Well, I live in Rhode Island and there are a lot of Southern Gospel and Guy Penrod fans in New England. We very seldom get those concerts up here. I have only been to two Homecoming concerts that came to Boston, MA. Maybe you could schedule one of yours in Boston, MA or Providenc, RI.
God bless you and your wonderful family.

Thank you for sharing your heart in song and in that message. Your life and Godly presence are an inspiration to all. God Bless you, your family and your travels. And thank you for heeding and being so faithful to HIS call.

Like all the other post before me. You have blessed me with your music ministry and your love for the lord. I too have followed you since I was saved in 1994 (yes I have all the CD's). I will be here to support you and your ministry, no matter what genre your in. I have been looking for this site, forever. It's been a long time coming. I would like to be able to contact you, but not sure how. But the lord will make away, I know.
I just purchased the bundle and cannot wait til it gets here.
May God continue to richly bless you and your family always.

  22. Hi Guy!

What a blessed project! The songs are so positive, and all talk of principles. I listen the previews, and I'm anxious for my album.

I have followed you for many years, and you are my favorite singer. The best one! I love your voice, may you always use your talent to thank the Lord. Like Mats said in the previous comment, when you sing, we can see that you really believe what you singing, and you lead us closer to God.

There something you should know: I`m from Brazil, and you have thousands of fans here. We`re all waiting for your tour in Brazil, we hope it happens soon as possible.

God bless you and Angie in this new journey!

  24. I am not a religious person and usually run when spiritual politics begin. One day I chanced upon a Gaither show when channel surfing. The music was very comforting though I didn't listen to the lyrics. I'm shocked I watched the full hour. Guy is my favorite because he can get us out of our chairs with his voice. Since he is going solo in a western way, I will buy his CD because it will be in a neutral territory for me. I will listen to the lyrics...when no one is around. LOL!

  30. Hello ! Guy Penrod,
I can't believe I am doing this...E-mailing to you after all of these years of seeing you from afar, at Concerts with the GVB !!!
When I first saw you, You,and heard Your voice, I saw the spirit in which you held your arms in the air !Something happened to me that night that I really don't understand myself... I just know that I am a different person since then in so many ways !!
I have heard you say that when you meet some people, they have told you that,'You saw them through....'
You have seen me through 'rough roads', in my life since I first saw you that cold rainy night, in Jackson, Mississippi !!!!
My family knows the situation, and they sometimes kid me about You !LOL.(Lots of Laughs)
I just don't know how to tell you how your music has helped me 'Through', and it still does,
    to this day.
I hope and pray for you and Angie and the Kids,
every day. And I wish you many blessings as you go on this different Journey in Your lives...
I am right here, listening to that New CD !!!
I Love IT ! And, I have about worn it out !
And, the music is 'seeing me through', right now.

I can't wait to see you in......
    'Olive Branch,Mississippi', on April 3rd.!!!!!
Maybe I won't be too shy to actually meet YOU !

  31. Guy, It's been a long time since we tried unhooking your boat from my truck in the rain in Myrtle Beach. Things have been crazy busy - God has really blessed my business through these tough times. I plan to attend the concert on April 9 in Bayboro, NC. It's just a few miles away from a plant we're working with. Can we catch dinner after the concert? I may also be at the Aiken, SC concert on April 8 - it's just across the river from Augusta and I hope to be home for some of the Master's Golf. Would you like to attend the Master's par 3 on Wednesday in Augusta? My contact info has changed email is Bill@ImpactSafetySystems.com and NC cell is 252-945-5790. God Bless - look forward to talking with you.

  32. Guy - I am thrilled at how well BREATHE DEEP is doing on the charts! I've been praying for God's blessing and favor on your solo career. A very good friend, who lives in Canada, prays for you and your family daily! She's a big fan. She's an accomplished artist and recently sent you a beautiful drawing - a sketch that she did of you singing in London about 10 years ago!
God bless and continue to show you favor!

We are depending on our Lord to use this product to bless all those of us who suffer, and the proceeds will be used for His service, wherever He leads us. Here is the site:

  37. I am "Breathing Deep" right now. I just finished listening to, and reading the lyrics of your new album. I am 81 years old - I have never written a fan letter before, and I had very seldom watched the Gaithers, so I really didn't know anything about you. However, since there is nothing on TV anymore, I watched the interview you had with Bill Gaither, and ordered the CD's. I cannot tell you how it has affected my life. Each song could have been written about my life and my walk with the Lord. I've had a very hard time listening to the last one because 3 years ago my precious husband of almost 60 years died in my arms. Oh how I would love to have one more day with him, but I Breathe Deep. Thank you Guy for allowing God to use you in this very special way - relating God's truth in words and music, especially for today's youth. They can relate to this music. God bless, and wasn't God sweet to let you and Angie have the joy of a little girl.

  45. My husband and I sit every Saturday afternoon and I watch every day during daytime on the Gaithers Shows. We absolutely love your music. I was saved at the age of 62 and I am so grateful that I found my Lord. I was a Catholic for all of my life and something was missing. As a Baptist I am renewed and saved. Your music is inspirational & so wonderful with true messages to listen to. We just love what a great family and wife you have. You all are truly blessed. We love your family photos and your baby girl is a beauty. Stay with your feet on the ground and keep your family first with God leading you. You are a great and talented guy. God Bless you and your family.

  46. I must admit, the other night was the first time I ever heard you. I grew up in a musically oriented family so my music tastes vary but when a song speaks to my heart, it speaks loudly. I am glad I got to hear you, you sing with so much emotion and have a beautiful voice!! May God continue to Bless you and your family. "Knowing What I Know About Heaven", touched my heart and soul. I lost my 18 yr old son in a car accident on Sept. 2 and have been at peace since he left, but obviously I miss him very much, what parent wouldn't? I knew he was a believer before he left, but learned real quick like in the way he carried himself amongst his friends. Then on September 27, my Dad lost his fight of cancer, it was just 3 1/2 wks later!! What a blow!! Anyways, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your performance at White Oak and thank you so much for ministering to me and my Mom that night!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Guy, I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed your music and ministry at White Oak Conference Center on December 4th. It was probably one of the most uplifting concerts I have ever been to. I have always loved listening to the Gaithers, going to the concerts but never have I experience "the present of the Lord" in such a way as I did that night at your concert! It was absolutely wonderful and I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas! God Bless you and your family because I was truly blessed that night!

  52. Guy, I purchased your Hymns CD last Sunday--I really enjoyed it. My Dad who is 86 is in a nursing home. He has several health problems along with dementia. I frequently take a CD for him to listen to. His attention span is usually good for a couple of songs. He took the insert with words out and sang along with ALL your hymns on your CD. He always asked me to play your CD's in the car. It seems he remembers you and all the old hymns --even when he forgets my name. Thank God for all the old hymns and to you for this CD. May God bless you and your ministry. Many thanks
